HumouR Us... It has been reported, that those working in Human Resources are amongst the unhappiest workers in the United Kingdom... There are occasions when the nature of our work perhaps puts us in a more sombre mood than most, but that's not always the case and there can be a lighter side to our work too - even some humour on occasions and we will be using this space to share some of the funnier aspects of our work. You're Hired...
Reaching the end of a job interview, the HR Manager asked the young engineer fresh out of University; "And what starting salary were you looking for?"
The Engineer replied, "In the region of £100,000 a year, depending on the benefits package."
To which the HR Manager said; "well, what you would say to:
10 weeks’ annual leave,
Full medical and dental benefits
Matched pension fund for 50 percent of your salary and;
An Audi TT Company car?"
The engineer sat up straight and said, "Wow! Are you kidding?"
And the HR Manager replied, "Yeah, but you started it."
